In celebration of the remarkable local tattoo artist talent in Chicago, Bare Tattoo Removal, in partnership with Sacred Transformations, will host a spring showcase representing the area’s most talented tattoo artists.
Tattoo Artist Exhibit at a Tattoo Removal Clinic?
Although it may seem counter-intuitive that a tattoo removal clinic would support tattoo artists, Bare is not against tattoos. In fact, the more tattoos there are, the more business we’ll have. More than that, we think tattooing is an under-appreciated art. Bare wants to help promote tattooing and tattoo artists for the skills they have honed. We know many Chicago tattoo artists who create great works outside of their “day job.” The tattoo artist exhibit is an opportunity to promote their abilities.
Bare is located in a beautiful, recently renovated, 1,500 square foot loft in the heart of the River North area of downtown Chicago. River North is a neighborhood with many art galleries, perfectly suiting Bare as a gallery to host the tattoo artist exhibit.
Sacred Transformations is Bare’s chosen beneficiary because they do great work for the community. Sacred is a local non-profit run by tattoo artist Eric Spruth. They are, “dedicated to helping people who are tattooed, scarred, branded and or burnt from negative experiences to transform those marks into art pieces that celebrate one’s individuality…”
100% of voluntary donations from the tattoo artist exhibit will go to support Sacred Transformations and their mission.
